MacEwan Digital Exhibits is dedicated to displaying archival, scholarly and creative collections and exhibitions of enduring value to the MacEwan University community. The service includes an interactive digital display (the “Digital Wall”) in the library as well as an online hosting platform that uses Omeka S software.

Digital Wall 

Located across from the Library Services Desk in the John L. Haar Library, the Digital Wall features a 4’x13.5’ interactive display that includes the following options for showcasing scholarly, creative and archival works:

Online Exhibits Using Omeka S  

Omeka S software is available to members of MacEwan University who are interested in creating online exhibits of scholarly and creative works. Examples of projects that can be built into this software include: 

  • Oral histories 
  • Photovoice 
  • Visualizations of geospatial data 

Omeka S is also frequently used to showcase curated collections from the University Archives and MacEwan University Library.
